Haha Tonka Sky

Here's a favorite place of mine -- the ruins of the Haha Tonka castle overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks near Camdenton, Mo. A Kansas City businessman began construction of the castle in 1905. He was killed in a traffic crash in 1906. His sons completed construction of the castle in the late 1920s. The family used it as a vacation home and later as a hotel before it burned in 1942.
