Route 66 and 2nd Street, Williams, Arizona

The historic Grand Canyon Hotel, opened in 1891, is actually about an hour away from the canyon, on old Route 66 in downtown Williams, Arizona. We visited the town, and the canyon, a couple of months ago.

57 Dreams

I have a thing about old cars, especially those like this '57 Chevy hardtop, sitting patiently, waiting to come back to life. I had a '57 way back when. I don't know where it is now, but it was one of those projects I never got around to doing. I smashed up the right rear quarter pretty bad in a wreck and quit driving it. My dad helped me get another car and eventually sold the '57 to somebody who was going to restore it. What might have been? 18x24 acrylic on canvas Original is sold.
