This is the House of Apache Fire in Red Rocks State Park near Sedona, Arizona. The whole scene -- the house, the setting, the story behind it -- is stunning. The remains of a 1937 Chevy pass the time in the ghost town of Bodie, California. Bodie was a gold mining boomtown in the arid uplands of central California, near the Nevada border. The boomtown went bust and was abandoned, leaving many of the buildings and artifacts, including the '37 Chevy. It is now a state park.
