Office Furniture 18x18 oil on stretched canvas $195 A scene at Campbell Avenue and Walnut Street in downtown Springfield. I did a lot of knife work on this one. I find it helps me paint in a looser style, something I've been trying to do. It's easy to get bogged down in capturing every little detail, so much so that the finished product looks more like attempted photography than a painting.
News of the Past
Oil on canvas, 20x16 , 2013 I have a collection of these old newspaper delivery tubes. I've picked them up here and there over the years. Fitting, I suppose, since I was a newspaper guy for more than 30 years. I was looking at the tubes one day, and one thing led to another. Here is the result. $250
