In the Never Summer Mountains

Route 66 and 2nd Street, Williams, Arizona

The historic Grand Canyon Hotel, opened in 1891, is actually about an hour away from the canyon, on old Route 66 in downtown Williams, Arizona. We visited the town, and the canyon, a couple of months ago. 16x20, acrylic on canvas $250 Email me if interested.

House of Apache Fire

This is the House of Apache Fire in Red Rocks State Park near Sedona, Arizona. The whole scene -- the house, the setting, the story behind it -- is stunning. End of the Road

The remains of a 1937 Chevy pass the time in the ghost town of Bodie, California. Bodie was a gold mining boomtown in the arid uplands of central California, near the Nevada border. The boomtown went bust and was abandoned, leaving many of the buildings and artifacts, including the '37 Chevy. It is now a state park.
