16x20 oil, 2013 NFS This was the first portrait I'd painted in decades, and it is ... a cat. My daughter's cat, actually. His name was Frank, aka Frank the Tank. I've never done many portraits, not because there's anything wrong with portraits, but because I never felt like I was very good at them. But for my daughter's favorite feline, I was willing to make an exception.

News of the Past

Oil on canvas, 20x16 , 2013 I have a collection of these old newspaper delivery tubes. I've picked them up here and there over the years. Fitting, I suppose, since I was a newspaper guy for more than 30 years. I was looking at the tubes one day, and one thing led to another. Here is the result. $250

White River Hotel
